Together, let’s amplify our voices and build a connected, vibrant Métis community.

My Commitments to Métis Youth in British Columbia

As your candidate for Chairperson of Métis Youth British Columbia, my campaign is built around three key commitments:

  1. Leadership and Advocacy:
    • I am dedicated to nurturing powerful, articulate leaders among our Métis youth. My focus will be on enhancing advocacy skills, ensuring our youth can lead with confidence and have their voices heard across all levels of governance. This includes extensive leadership training and opportunities for active participation in Métis and wider community affairs.
  1. Cultural Connections and Intergenerational Learning:
    • Strengthening the ties between elders and youth is vital for the continuity of our culture and traditions. I commit to organizing programs that facilitate cultural growth, including language preservation initiatives focused on Michif, and fostering intergenerational mentorship to preserve our heritage.
  1. Community Building and Environmental Stewardship:
    • My plan is to build robust networks among Métis youth across BC, enhancing communication and cooperation. Additionally, I will advocate for environmental conservation as a cornerstone of our community projects, reflecting our deep connection to the land and our commitment to its stewardship.
